High School Level Scenarios

At the High School level, Problem-Based Scenarios can be very elaborate and approached from multiple points-of-view.   Here are a few advanced samples that integrate several subject areas while tackling a central problem:

Of course, for high school teachers it can be very difficult to integrate several subject areas at the same time while working on a single Problem-Based Scenario.  Therefore, we have created focused Problem-Based scenarios that approach a problem from a single point-of-view (i.e. course area).  Several are listed below:

Students will decide what makes an object "iconic" and an important part of America culture.

 

International Fixed Calendar

Students will determine whether proposals for a new calendar are worth putting into effect.

Veterans Day

Students will review the details of Veterans Day, and decide how it can be observed at a local level.
